Job Analysis Questionnaire (JAQ)
We are conducting a compensation study for identified positions. This work is part of our commitment to strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion and foster a culturally affirming climate.
The primary goals of this work are to ensure pay structures:
Invitation to Participate
Since your job is included in the compensation study, we want to invite you to participate. Please complete the JAQ by Friday, March 25. The JAQ will enable you to share detailed information about your routine job duties and responsibilities. The questionnaire does not ask about your job performance; only what your job requires you to do. To ensure pay is fair, equitable, and appropriately competitive, we first need to make sure we have an accurate understanding of the work that you regularly perform as part of your job.
The primary goals of this work are to ensure pay structures:
- Are fair, equitable and appropriately competitive
- Allow us to recruit and retain our talented staff and meet our organizational goals
- Are fiscally sustainable

Questions
If you need help completing the JAQ, please contact Kate Heynoski (kateh@exmi.org or 734-377-6206).
Next steps
Over the next two months EXMI will be conducting surveys, collecting benchmark pay data, and gathering information that will help inform proposed adjustments to salary schedules and pay rates for the identified positions. It is important to note that the review does not guarantee any adjustments. If adjustments are made, they will only be upward. In the future, compensation for additional positions will be reviewed.
We look forward to providing ongoing updates as the project progresses.
